  • 01. What is Alpaka?

Alpaka is a web application which has employee clocking in and out, scheduling, absence management, file storage and sharing and much more. It can (and should) be used in most workplaces.

  • 02. Is there a free trial?

There is a sign-up button in the navigation at the top of every page on this website. There is often a sign-up button at the bottom of the page too. Oh, hang on,

    TRY ALPAKA

No credit card required for the trial, and you can get started right away.

Alpaka is a diverse and vast software product. Typical businesses will only need 2 or 3 features from the many that are available; first-time users might benefit from personal assistance which we are happy to give. Getting started doesn't take long with the right help.

  • 03. How long is the trial?

From signing up you have 28 days of unlimited use. If you follow the five minute movie for Alpaka Presence you will experience the value of Alpaka before the movie finishes.

  • 04. What happens at the end of my trial?

Towards the end of your trial, you will get an email asking you if you wish to continue. If the answer is YES (which we think it will be), you can continue to use Alpaka. If you decide Alpaka is not for you when your trial concludes, we will delete your private data, and you will not be charged.

Alpaka does not require a long term commitment, we do not contract a term of use beyond one month, that way we need to earn your business every single month.

  • 05. Why do I need this? We use Google calendar.

Alpaka is a work calendar that makes your calendar work harder.

It works just like Google or Outlook calendars, but with Alpaka, your time and movements can feed automated processes for payroll, leave requests, absence and shift pattern notifications.

  • 06. Do I have to pay for support?

No, Alpaka is so simple to set up and use that we don't think you will need much help. However, we have a dedicated human support team on-hand if you have any questions or problems. Unlike other software services- we think a live chat or a phone call is better than a support ticket. Weird eh? 0203 286 6109

  • 07. How do I contact support?

The support portal is built-in to Alpaka. There is no need to email support, click on the 'Support' icon in the navigation. You can also call on 0203 286 6109

  • 08. Do I need an app on my phone?

Nope, Alpaka is a web application which has a responsive design so is mobile and tablet friendly. There are free smartphone apps, but they are not mandatory.

  • 09. Can my staff make their own timesheets or do I do them?

The Alpaka timesheet feature has many ways to save you time. Users can create and complete their timesheets with preset contract hours and add additional events from their calendar.

  • 10. If an employee leaves will I be billed for them?

If a team member is made 'inactive', there will be no charge for them in the following month.

  • 11. Can you hide personal data?

Yes. Alpaka has a sophisticated but straightforward permission structure compliant with GDPR. You can create roles using necessary permissions so staff can only access and update their private information, to full administrative access.

  • 12. Are there any hidden costs?

Nope. At Alpaka, we like to keep things simple, and that includes the price. You pay for the team members per month and nothing else: no set-up fee, no hosting and no support charges. Take the free trial and see for yourself how much time you can save.

  • 13. Can I commission new features specific to my needs?

Yes- Alpaka's architecture is extensible and flexible, new features are added all the time and clients might have unique requirements which can be built by our in-house team.
